Straight Talk has started offering its first Verizon-compatible LTE smartphone, the ZTE Rapido LTE. A Howard Forums user has spotted the phone in Walmart store. The Rapido LTE (Z932C) hasn’t been listed on the carrier’s website yet but obviously will be soon. Straight Talk ZTE Rapido LTE costs $179.88, according to the image from Walmart store and to the Walmart’s website, where the phone is listed but out of stock.
Update: The ZTE Rapido LTE has been added to Straight Talk’s website. It’s sold for $179.99. At Walmart.com, the phone is in stock. It’s listed as Straight Talk ZTE 932C and it’s available for $179.88.
Last week, Straight Talk has added a number of high-end and midrange smartphones to its prepaid phone lineup, but that’s not where this carrier stops in enriching its prepaid offering. A couple of days ago, new Straight Talk LTE mobile hotspots have been spotted at Walmart. The ZTE Z288L mobile hotspot operates on Verizon LTE while ZTE Z289G uses AT&T’s LTE network. Read more
Yet another smartphone has arrived to Straight Talk’s prepaid lineup. After adding the latest iPhones, first Verizon-enabled LTE phone, two smartphones on AT&T network of which one is a phablet, all in last few days, Straight Talk adds ZTE Quartz, another phone-tablet. The Quartz is a 3G phone with 5.5-inch display that uses Verizon network. ZTE Quartz is available at Straight Talk’s website for $199.99. Read more
AT&T owned Cricket Wireless has included 4G LTE-enabled Moto G to its prepaid phone lineup last month but now a new Motorola Moto handset has appeared to be added, the Moto E. A Howard Forums user has found Cricket Moto E in Walmart store. This is significant because Walmart was selling Cricket handsets when the carrier was CDMA based but that wasn’t the case after AT&T has purchased it, up until now. Read more
Last month, Virgin Mobile announced new service, Virgin Mobile Custom, that’s ItsOn powered just like Zact’s service was, before it shut down. Since August 4, Zact customers were able to migrate to Virgin Mobile Custom if they wanted but now new Custom’s flexible plans are available at select Walmart stores for everyone. Read more

Sprint has announced today Virgin Mobile Custom, an extension of the Virgin Mobile USA, and its new prepaid plans that customers can tailor according to their exact needs. Sprint, a parent company of Virgin Mobile, has announced two new Virgin Mobile payLo budget plans, Walmart exclusive. PayLo customers can now choose from $20 Unlimited Talk or $20 Unlimited Text plans. A new $20 Unlimited Talk plan includes 50 text messages in addition to unlimited voice while $20 Unlimited Text plan has 50 voice minutes in addition to unlimited SMS. Read more
Verizon Wireless has started selling its prepaid $50 unlimited monthly plan directly from its website and through its stores. Verizon $50 unlimited plan has launched in August 3013 and up until now, it was available only from Walmart stores and its website. Read more

Best Buy and Walmart have started selling Apple’s iPhone 5 for customers who would like to pair it with T-Mobile’s prepaid service plans. Both retailers are offering 16GB versions of the phone in black and white color. T-Mobile prepaid iPhone 5 costs $629.88 at Walmart while Best Buy is selling it for $649.99 price tag. Read more
