Verizon Wireless has started selling its prepaid $50 unlimited monthly plan directly from its website and through its stores. Verizon $50 unlimited plan has launched in August 3013 and up until now, it was available only from Walmart stores and its website. Read more

Straight Talk has added a new mid-range Android handset to its prepaid lineup, ZTE Solar. The Solar

Best Buy and Walmart have started selling Apple’s iPhone 5 for customers who would like to pair it with T-Mobile’s prepaid service plans. Both retailers are offering 16GB versions of the phone in black and white color. T-Mobile prepaid iPhone 5 costs $629.88 at Walmart while Best Buy is selling it for $649.99 price tag. Read more
Huawei Inspira is the latest Android smartphone added to Straight Talk’s phone lineup. It is available at Walmart and a Straight Talk’s website for $99. The Inspira is a basic Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with 3G connectivity. Read more
Couple of weeks ago, Huawei has announced that its first Windows Phone 8 smartphone will be launched in the U.S. this month through Walmart stores and online. So, just as announced, Huawei W1 (H883G) can now be purchased at Walmart’s website for $229.99 and it’s compatible with Straight Talk’s prepaid service. Read more
Prepaid mobile broadband service, Internet on the Go, offered only at Walmart, has introduced some plan changes to its customers. The Sprint’s MVNO has been notifying its customers with an email letting them know that one of its current plans will be discontinued as of May 15 as well as some plans will include less megabytes than they are including right now. The possibility of activating most of Verizon phones on Straight Talk and Net10’s service is up again regardless of BYOP CDMA program being cancelled only one week after it launched in April. All three TracFone brands, including Telcel America, have launched BYOP CDMA program and cancelled it within a week. Now both Straight Talk and Net10 are allowing it again but with some new restrictions applying. Read more
Huawei has announced that its first Windows Phone 8 phone, W1, can be expected in Walmart’s online and retail stores this month. The U.S. carrier that will offer the Huawei W1 will be TracFone. The phone is also known as the Ascend W1. Read more
A prepaid subsidiary of America Movil’s TracFone, Straight Talk, has noted on its blog post that customers interested in iPhone 5 can choose now from three ways to obtain it. Last week, Straight Talk iPhone 5 in 16, 32 and 64 GB version has been launched, a 16 GB iPhone 4S and an 8 GB iPhone 4 through Walmart’s stores and website, offering all variants in both black and white. However, only 8 GB iPhone 4 and a 16 GB iPhone 5 are offered through Walmart’s no-interest, fixed $25 payments financing and interested customers have time until April 2, 2013 to use it.
As announced, Straight Talk iPhone 5 and the previous versions, 4S and 4, have become available at both Walmart stores and their website. What was not clear until now, regardless of knowing that all models are CDMA, is which network Straight Talk iPhone 5, 4S and 4 are running on. Well, all of its iPhones use Verizon’s network, which obviously is the better option than Sprint due to a larger and more reliable coverage. Read more
