Ting to offer support for Nexus 6 by the end of November
Sprint MVNO Ting has announced on its blog that it will offer support for the latest Nexus smartphone. Ting expects that the Nexus 6 will be available with their prepaid service by the end of November, 2014 but whether the company will sell the Nexus 6 or it will make it available through its Bring Your Own Device program, it’s yet to be decided. In any way, Nexus 6 from Google Play store should be supported by Ting just as the Nexus 5 was previously.
Google has revealed the Nexus 6 last week along with the Nexus 9 tablet and a new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Nexus 6 will be available at the beginning of November with all four major carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.
Motorola Nexus 6 will come preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Nexus 9 will be too while all Moto phones, X, G and E, first and second generation plus Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid ‘s Mini will receive an update to the latest Android platform. Besides Android 5.0, the Nexus 6 features a large 5.96-inch (2560×1440) AMOLED display, a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front-facing one. The N6 is LTE-enabled. It comes with a 3220mAh battery that provides up to 6 hours of usage when charged only 15 minutes or over 24 hours when fully charged.
The Nexus 6 with 32GB of storage costs $649 while the 64GB model is available for $699.
Ting said that it will be confirming these and offer more information on the Nexus 6 as they receive it.
