TracFone Alcatel OneTouch Pixi Unite Available For $29.99
TracFone Wireless, the largest prepaid operator in the US owned by América Móvil , has added another entry-level Android smartphone, Alcatel Pixi Unite, to its prepaid phone lineup. TracFone Alcatel Onetouch Pixi Unite is available at Walmart, BestBuy and Target (stores only) for $29.99 with Airtime purchase.
TracFone Alcatel OneTouch Pixi Unite Specs
TracFone’s continued with its practice of launching cheap, entry level smartphones, targeting not too demanding customers. Alcatel OneTouch Pixi Unite is a 4G Android 6.0 Marshmallow smartphone that operates on AT&T network. The phone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD slot for additional memory expansion up to 32GB. It features 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels screen resolution and 233 ppi Pixel Density. The Pixi Unite has only 2-megapixels main camera with zoom and LED Flash, 1600 x 1200 Pixels image resolution and VGA 25 FPS video recording.
For connectivity, besides 4G, it uses Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS. Onetouch Pixi Unite uses removable Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery with 9.3 hours talk time. It also privides up to 7 hours Music playback time, up to 2 hours video playback time and up to 213 hours of standby time. The phone dimensions are 4.78″ x 2.54″ x 0.39″ and it weight 4.16 (ounces).
TracFone Plans for Android Smartphones
The Alcatel Onetouch Pixi Unite can be paired with one of the TracFone’s smartphone plans:
- $15 plan – 200 minutes, 500 texts and 200MB of data for 30 days
- $25 plan – 500 minutes, 1000 texts and 500MB of data for 60 days
- $35 plan – 750 minutes, 1000 texts and 1GB of data for 60 days
- $125 plan – 1500 minutes, 1500 texts and 1.5GB of data for 365 days
The phone also works with regular pay as you go minute refills, which for Android phones and BYOP triple minutes, texts and data. For example, a 60 minute card provides 180 minutes, 180 texts and 180 megabytes of data.
With more and more mobile users turning to prepaid, TracFone has positioned itself as a major player in the prepaid market. Last month TracFone acquired GoSmart and Walmart Family Mobile, adding almost 1.5Million of new subs to its customer base. And in the following months, we can expect further expansion of TracFone.
