U Prepaid service announced by U.S. Cellular and Alltel in Walmart stores in May
A new no contract wireless U Prepaid service announced by U.S. Cellular and Alltel is going to be available in select Walmart stores, sometime in May. The U Prepaid wireless service will be available across 18 states, in nearly 500 Walmart stores. It will run on U.S. Cellular or Alltel’s network, depending on users’ locations.
U.S. Cellular and Alltel have joint forces to create prepaid service as an alternative for its customers to control their monthly budget using flexible payment options without signing a contract.
At launch, four U Prepaid phones will be available to customers: a feature phone, the Samsung Chrono, perfect for voice and text; two messaging phones, the LG Attune/LG Exchange and LG Saber, with full QWERTY keyboards and Android smartphone, Samsung Repp.
Both U.S. Cellular and Alltel announce a variety of prepaid plan options, simple and easy to understand, that would include unlimited talk and text in addition to several data options. U Prepaid will offer nationwide service with no roaming charges.
