U.S. Cellular Launches New Simple Connect Prepaid Plans
Regional carrier U.S. Cellular has introduced new Simple Connect Prepaid plans. The new plans start at $30 per month for basic phones and at $35 per month for smartphones. The $35 plan includes unlimited talk, text and data with 500MB at high speeds. The $45 plan offers 2GB of high speed data while $60 plan has 5GB.
Previously, these plans were offering $40 basic phone plan and $45, $55 and $65 smartphone options with 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB at high-speeds, respectively. Also, the $40 plan for basic phones was offering unlimited talk, text and mobile data while the new $30 plan has only 500 minutes of talk and unlimited text.
U.S. Cellular’s new Simple Connect Prepaid plans now offer:
- $30 basic phone monthly plan – 500 minutes of talk and unlimited text
- $35 smartphone monthly plan – unlimited talk, text and data with first 500 MB at high-speeds (was $45/1GB)
- $45 smartphone monthly plan – unlimited talk, text and data with first 2 GB at high-speeds (was $55)
- $60 smartphone monthly plan – unlimited talk, text and data with first 5 GB at high-speeds (was $65/4 GB)
When high speed data limit is reached in a month, U.S. Cellular throttles data speeds to 1x or around 100 Kbps until the next billing cycle.
In addition, the carrier is currently offering a “Spend $50 Get $50” promotion that gives $50 credit to customers who spend $50 toward new Simple Connect Prepaid plan. In fact, customers will receive $5 bill credit per month for 10 months period. The offer is good for a limited time.
The carrier is also offering the LG Logos for free after $50 mail-in rebate in the form of MasterCard Debit Card. The LG Logos is a 4G LTE smartphone with a 4.7-inch HD display, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel camera and 1-megapixel front-facing camera with Gesture Shot. Activation of the phone is required. The mail-in rebate is valid until March 9, 2016.
