Ultra Mobile Adds New Ultra Flex Plans, Univision Mobile Shuts Down In July
T-Mobile MVNO Ultra Mobile and its brand Univision Mobile have shared some news with its prepaid customers recently. While Ultra Mobile adds new Ultra Flex Plans for individual users and for families, unfortunately, its sister company Univision Mobile shuts down its operations soon.
Ultra Flex Plans
Ultra Mobile adds new set of plans for single users and families in addition to their regular monthly plan offerings. For individual users, Ultra Flex Plan offers:
- $21/month – unlimited talk and global text, 250 MB of 4G LTE data and unlimited international talk to 10 destinations
Data on this plan roll over to the next month until used. Customers can add more data, $5/500MB, $10/1GB, $20/2GB, $45/5GB and $80/10GB, that also roll over. Moreover, users can save additionally by purchasing more months of service. For two months on this plan, users would pay $16.50 per month (total $33), for three months $14 (total $42) and for four months and more $11.50 per month (total $46).
Countries that customers can call on this plan on landlines and some on mobiles are: Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand and United Kingdom.
Ultra Flex Family Plans
Ultra Flex Family plans offer the same discounts as the individual Flex Plans, however, they are applied on each line added. First line is $21, two lines are $16.50 per month, three lines are $14 and four and more lines are $11.50 per month. A 250 MB of data that each line includes and international credit are shared between lines. However, primary line can chose to disable this option and that each line uses its own features. Also, primary account can pay for service of all members or each line can do it individually. Each line can add more data at the same rate as single Flex plans as well as additional international credit for $10 or $20 per month.
Ultra also offers ‘Data My Way’ feature that saves data additionally. Users can choose from three data speed options: super saver, optimized and full speed.
Univision Mobile Shuts Down, Their Customers Migrating To Ultra Mobile
Ultra Mobile will be shutting down Univision Mobile operations in early July. Ultra’s been managing Univision Mobile accounts since February 2016. The carrier will migrate all of its customers to Ultra Mobile with no actions required on their part. Everything will remain the same for users since plans of these two carriers mostly match. In fact, Ultra offers more international features for the same cost.
