Verizon Launches Prepaid Family Plan, Saves Up To $80 Each Month
Verizon Wireless has introduced a new family option for its prepaid customers. The carrier is calling it “Verizon Prepaid Family Account”, to which customers can add up to four additional lines, total of five. Verizon launches prepaid family plan that can save up to $80 per month when four lines are added.
Verizon Prepaid Family Plan
Verizon’s new prepaid family plan offers discounts that differ from plan to plan that’s chosen. The $40/3 GB plan offers first line at $40 and the second through fifth line with $10 discount. The $50/7 GB plan gives first line at $50 while lines second-to-fifth are $15 off each month. The $60/10 GB and $80/Unlimited data plans have the same multi-line discount. These two plans offer $20 off of the second, third, fourth and fifth line while the first month is at regular plan’s cost, $60 and $80.
When these discounts are applied, the $40 plan is available for $30 per month on lines 2-5. The $50 plan is available for $35 on lines 2-5 while on the $60 and $80 plans, 2-5 lines cost $40 and $60, respectively. The plans are:
- $40 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 3 GB at high speed ($10 off on 2-5 lines)
- $50 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 7 GB at high speed ($15 off on 2-5 lines)
- $60 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 10 GB at high speed ($20 off on 2-5 lines)
- $80 plan – unlimited talk, text and high speed data with data deprioritized during network congestion ($20 off on 2-5 lines)
Verizon’s new family discounts are not that competitive given the multi-line offerings provided by other prepaid carriers. Verizon’s prices are rather high, but those who have already chosen Verizon service can be happy for opportunity to save for their families.
