Verizon Moto G gets Android 4.4.4 update now
Verizon Wireless has made an update to Android 4.4.4 available for its Moto G. According to a tipster of Android Central and at the same time an owner of the Moto G on Verizon prepaid, Verizon Moto G is receiving now 210.12.41.en.US software version that brings improvements in camera, video recording and phone dialer area.
With Android 4.4.4 update, the Moto G will get better quality of camera picture; customers will be able to pause video recordings and to benefit from usability improvements made to phone dialer.
To update Verizon Moto G to the latest KitKat version, go to Settings, About phone and System updates.
Motorola is doing a great job by providing the latest Android updates to Moto handsets regularly. Besides Moto G, which is a 3G capable handset, Verizon has added Moto X to its prepaid division as well now that 4G LTE is allowed on prepaid. With any luck, Moto G2 that leaked few days ago as a Moto G’ successor, will be LTE capable handset. For now, only camera seems to be improved.
Verizon 4G LTE plans are the same as for 3G handsets. It is $45 ALLSET plan that includes unlimited talk, text messaging, 500 MB of data and unlimited texting to Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. For more data, customers can choose from three Bridge Data options:
- 500MB for $5, expires after 30 days,
- 1GB for $10, expire after 90 days
- 3GB for $20, expire after 90 days.
