Verizon MVNO TalkForGood offers talk and text monthly plans with MMS and data add-ons
Verizon MVNO TalkForGood has launched their monthly plans, which are significantly different from what they have intended to offer. Initially, they have planned to offer all in one, talk, text and data plan for $55 per month but instead, on their website, a variation of talk and text monthly plans have been offered in addition to MMS and data add-ons.
TalkForGood’s talk and text monthly plans are available for $10, $20, $30 and $40 per month. However, for $10 per month, users can choose to have 150 minutes of talk and 250 texts, 175 minutes and 125 texts or 50 minutes and 750 texts. For $20 per month, users have also three options: 300 minutes and 500 texts, 400 minutes and 100 texts or 100 minutes and 1500 texts. For $30 per month, 500 minutes and 500 texts, 575 minutes and 125 texts or 300 minutes and 1500 texts plans are available and for $40 per month, users are entitled to unlimited talk and text.
MMS and data add-ons can be added on every above listed plan. For $2, users will get 10 MMS. Data add-ons include $5 for 75MB of data, $10 for 150MB of data, $30 for 500MB of data and $50 for 2GB of data. TalkForGood users can also choose pay as you go plan with rates at 5¢ per minute, 1¢ per text and 6¢ per MB rates, which are good comparing to Page Plus’s (also Verizon MVNO) 12¢ per minute, 5¢ per text and 99¢ per MB. However, that cannot be said for most of other TalkForGood plans as Page Plus’s monthly plans all include data. Also, TalkForGood requires a $6 monthly fee.
TalkForGood does not sell its own phones but offers a Bring Your Own Phone option meaning that any Verizon phone that’s not prepaid, LTE and that has clean ESN can be activated on TalkForGood. The carrier also hopes that soon, by the end of the year, will be able to offer LTE SIM cards that would allow activating Verizon LTE phones with its service.
For now, it’s good to know that TalkForGood makes sure that a portion of their users’ monthly bill goes to the local charity of their choice.
