Virgin Mobile Custom available at select Walmart stores now
Last month, Virgin Mobile announced new service, Virgin Mobile Custom, that’s ItsOn powered just like Zact’s service was, before it shut down. Since August 4, Zact customers were able to migrate to Virgin Mobile Custom if they wanted but now new Custom’s flexible plans are available at select Walmart stores for everyone.
Virgin Mobile Custom users can start with unlimited $35 plan that includes unlimited talk and text or with a Base $6.98 plan that includes 20 texts and 20 voice minutes per month. Unlimited plan users can add unlimited texts for $10 and unlimited talk for $18 per month but their service cannot be shared between multiple lines like a base plan can.
A Base plan is available for single line or multi-line users. There can be up to five lines on one account for $6.98 per line each month. Minutes, texts and data can be shared between users of this family-type plan.
Customers can choose from a variety of voice, texts and data bundles ranging from $3/250 minutes to $35/5000 minutes for talk, $2.50/250 texts to $23/5000 texts for messaging and $1.40/20 MB of data to $52.50/6144 MB of data. According to personal needs, users will be able to add more minutes, texts and data or subtract each of them any time, directly from their phone. While doing that, prices are adjusting accordingly and that way customers are having complete control over their spending.
Virgin Mobile Custom users also have special offers to choose from like access to social networking sites, music, international calling, roaming and more. These can be added on a recurring or non-recurring basis. They are:
- Unlimited access to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram – $5 each or $15 for all four,
- Unlimited music – $5 per month,
- International calling (30, 60 or 100 minutes) to select destinations – prices range from $2 to $10,
- Maps and navigation with 50MB data and 135MB data – $1 per day and $3 per week, respectively,
- 50 Minutes of voice roaming – $5
- 15MB of data roaming – $5
Walmart is also selling three Virgin Mobile Custom-enabled phones, the ZTE Emblem for $79.99, the LG Pulse for $99.99 and the LG Unify for $129.99.
