Virgin Mobile Data Free Music launching on October 9, HTC Desire 626s, Moto G (3rd Gen.) and Huawei Union now available
Sprint’s prepaid brand Virgin Mobile has announced a new Data Free Music feature that provides unlimited music streaming for free. Virgin Mobile Data Free Music will be added to the $35, $45, and $55 unlimited plans starting Friday, October 9, 2015. Unlimited music streaming won’t count against plan’s high speed data allotment and there will be no data charges.
The $35, $45, and $55 unlimited plans come with unlimited talk, messaging and data with first 1GB, 3GB and 8GB at high speeds, respectively. Virgin Mobile customers on these three plans will be able to enjoy unlimited music without data charges from iHeartRadio, Pandora and Slacker Radio but carrier said that it will add more music partners in time.
Virgin Mobile has also added three new Android smartphones to its prepaid lineup: the HTC Desire 626s, the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen.) and the Huawei Union. The HTC Desire 626s features a 5-inch 720p HD display, Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7, 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and support for micro SDXC cards up to 200GB. It has 8-megapixel rear camera with HD 720p video capture and 2-megapixel front-facing camera while for connectivity, the phone uses Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, mobile hotspot (available at additional charge) and enhanced LTE and 4G LTE. The Desire 626s is powered by a 2000 mAH battery that provides up to 12 hours of talk time. The phone is available now for $129.99 (plus tax) on Virgin Mobile’s website.
The latest version of Motorola’s Moto G (third generation) features a 5-inch HD TFT display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and support for microSDXC cards up to 32GB. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for picture and video taking while for connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, HDMI Output, mobile hotspot, HD Voice, enhanced LTE and 4G LTE. The new Moto G is durable and water-resistant and it’s powered by a 2470 mAh lithium-ion battery that lasts all day. The Moto G (3rd Gen.) is available for $149.99 (plus tax) at Virgin Mobile’s website.
And the last phone that’s announced for Virgin Mobile yesterday is Huawei Union. The Union features 3G connectivity, a 4.5-inch display, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8909 processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Union can be purchased at Best Buy for $79.99 (plus tax) and from October 13, 2015, for the same price tag, at Virgin Mobile’s website.
