Virgin Mobile LG Optimus Elite shipping on May 15 for $149.99, available for preorder
Last month, LG Optimus Elite was officially announced for both Sprint and Virgin Mobile, but only for Sprint’s version, we knew the price and the release date. The carrier announces details on Virgin’s model now as well so we have Virgin Mobile LG Optimus Elite shipping on May 15 for $149.99. Right now, it is available for preorders.
What separates the LG Optimus Elite from rest of the phones in Virgin Mobile’s lineup is support for NFC (Near Field Communications) and Google Wallet, mobile payment service. Also, it is eco-friendly handset with its body made of 50 percent recycled plastics and fully recyclable packaging.
In addition, Virgin Mobile LG Optimus Elite comes with Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and microSD card slot for additional 32GB of storage.
For users who are on Virgin Mobile grandfathered plans, this phone will not be an option since it’s released after May 1st, unless they upgrade to one of current $35, $45 or $55 per month plan.
