Zact ZTE Awe and kids-friendly version of it with Disney Content available now
Sprint MVNO Zact Mobile, which runs on Sprint’s 4G LTE network, has recently added ZTE Awe to its prepaid lineup. Zact ZTE Awe, mid-range Jelly Bean smartphone, is available online for $89 while its regular price is $149. However, the carrier has introduced the kids’ version of this phone as well today that comes with content from Disney and parental control. For a limited time, during the holiday season, kids-friendly ZTE Awe will be available for $99, while its regular price is $169.
The ZTE Awe is a 3G phone with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform, 1.2 GHz processor, a 4-inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording and LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Awe uses Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS for connectivity and has 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32 GB. A 1650 mAh Lithium Ion battery powers the Awe and provides up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 6.29 days of stand by time.
The ZTE Awe customized for kids, however, comes pre-loaded with Disney app for easy access to Disney content, Disney music and video as well as Disney content on Spanish language. Parents can continue to control remotely how their kids use their phone. They can set curfew, block access to browsers, restrict apps and contacts. Parents can also manage service plans of their kids and all that through another Zact phone or through a free Zact Control app downloaded from Google Play or iTunes.
In addition to promotional cost of kids-friendly ZTE Awe, $99, the Zact is offering a free 4-month starter plan for kids that includes 100 minutes,100 texts and100 MB of data.
Zact Mobile service plans start at $3.49 per month. The plans can be customized according to users needs and all Zact plans are fully sharable between Zact enabled devices.
Virgin Mobile is also selling the Awe for $99.99, currently available for $69.99.
